A good optometrist knows that things are not always what they first seem to be. Even what starts as the most routine eye examination may not end that way. The OD must listen between the lines and look beyond the symptoms to find the true etiology of the patient's complaint. This course will explore ten interesting anterior segment cases that presented to the IU School of Optometry clinics. It includes photos and videos, treatment and management recommendations, and background information on various conditions.

bullet The Course
  • Case 1 (Herpes simplex blepharoconjunctivitis)
  • Case 2 (Corneal scarring)
  • Case 3 (Corneal micro-perforation)
  • Case 4 (Corneal edema, secondary iritis, trichiasis)
  • Case 5 (Granulomatous uveitis, secondary glaucoma)
  • Case 6 (Granulomatous uveitis, mutton fat KPs)
  • Case 7 (Cotton wool spot retinopathy)
  • Case 8 (Cytomegalovirus retinitis [CMVR])
  • Case 9a&b (Decentered/dislocated IOL)
