Summary

Preseptal cellulitis in association usually with horedeoli, Dr. Grogg uses Dicloxacillin and Keflex interchangeably. If patient has penicillin allergy, then uses Azithromycin.
Ocular rosacea and its long-term complications: Doxycycline.
If patient needs a prescription-strength medication for allergies: Allegra. Allegra-D if a decongestant is also needed.
Herpetic lesions, Dr. Grogg prescribes a lot of generic acyclovir. If patient has a copay and wants ease of dosing, then Valtrex.
Blow-out fractures: Keflex, Zpac.
Pain: Ultracet, Lortab.
Chlamydia infections: Azithromycin is treatment of choice.
Orbital pain associated with sinusitis: Always do a combination of antibiotic and decongestant: Zpac and Guiamax-D. If choosing a different antibiotic for this purpose, it should be indicated for the treatment of sinusitis.
