Ocular Herpes simplex infection is a significant cause of visual morbidity in humans. This course outlines the epidemiology of herpetic infections and describes the infectious process and its sequelae in detail. Primary disease, secondary reactivations, ocular complications, and management strategies are discussed. A review of the results of the Herpetic Eye Disease Study is included.
