Visual problems commonly treated with vision therapy include:
- Eye focusing (accommodative) problems
- Binocular (two-eyed) vision problems and eye movement or tracking problems
- Strabismus (turned eye) and amblyopia (lazy eye)
- Suppression (a condition in which both eyes are open but the brain only uses one eye, causing a loss in depth perception)
Therapy is also provided to patients who:
- Have visual information processing problems that may affect learning and school performance
- Wish to improve their binocular vision to perform more successfully in sports
- Have visual and/or visual information processing problems due to a head injury
