In the event of: |
Fire:
Activate fire alarm if necessary. Call 9-911 and give IU Police Department all relevant information. When alarm sounds, complete evacuation is required. Exit to the parking lot of the building. CECC has 3 exits: north, east, and south.

Tornado Warning:
Move into designated safe assembly areas without windows (restroom, examination room, hallway or office) and close the door. |
Earthquake:
Get under desk, sturdy table, countertop or move to a doorway. Stay clear of windows and bookcases. Do not leave the building until the quake has ended. Once outside, move away from building. |
Bomb Threat:
If taking the call, get as much information from caller as possible. Call 9-911, notify supervisor and, if advised, evacuate building and assemble in the parking lot. Re-enter only after the building has been searched and declared safe by the appropriate authorities. DO NOT USE FIRE ALARM. |
Bioterrorism:
Isolate cause, evacuate immediate area, and try to put a barrier between people and substance. Then call 9-911. |
Hazardous Materials Release:
Evacuate immediate area. Notify administrative office. Call 9-911 if release is extensive or especially toxic. Evacuate building if so advised. Call IU Environmental Health and Safety for assistance: 5-6311, after hours call 9-911. |
