The IU School of Optometry was quite successful in Boston at the American Optometric Association (AOA) conference held June 27 to July 1, 2007. Reported Natalie Lambert, IUOSA President: "We were represented by approximately 40 students and had several IU alum in attendance."
Tim Cundiff (OD Class of 2008) placed second in the Super Bowl. Our school was well represented on stage (by Tim) and in the audience by several members of our student body. Natalie said, "With t-shirts, sunglasses, beads, posters of IU, posters with Tim's head, face paint, noise makers, and lots of cheers--we definitely showed our school pride. THANK YOU to all of you who showed such awesome school spirit! You were fantastic! Personally, I think we won the Spirit Award! So, CONGRATS (from me)!"
The IU School of Optometry was also honored to have its own Dr. Marshall recognized as AOA Optometrist of the Year.
