As a member of Gold Key, students receive a Certificate of Membership and a metal Gold Key lapel pin. Each member wears to graduation a gold stole embroidered with a black key to denote the special honor.
The Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society recognizes leadership in the class, the school, and the optometric profession. Similar to membership in Beta Sigma Kappa, the greatest reward is the honor and prestige bestowed upon members--the recognition that a person's hard work and good attitude is important.
