Visitors to the Atwater Eye Care Center are able to view “Pixel Perfect” painted by local artist Jennifer Mujezinovic which adorns the second floor of the clinic near the reception area. We sincerely appreciate this generous gift to the School by Jennifer and her husband, Haris. Painted in 2007, “Pixel Perfect” evolved from the way digital photography allows us to zoom in on a photograph of a face until the individual color pixels are visible. By changing the pixels, we are able to alter, or perfect the image. For Jennifer, "Pixel Perfect", with its large brushstrokes, and intense stare, is a comment on the ambiguities involved in image altering.
Jennifer, originally from Hobart, IN came to Indiana University as an undergraduate where she met her husband Haris who played basketball for the Hoosiers from 1995 – 1997. They have lived in Bloomington ever since. Jennifer has been interested in painting all her life but only in the late 1990’s did she become inspired to take her artistic abilities to the next step. Along with being an artist, Jennifer is a full-time mom with three children and enjoys traveling with Haris who plays professional basketball for the Euro Basketball League.
Jennifer’s preferred medium is oils. To view more of her artwork please visit www.jmujezinovic.com.
