Dr. Hurbert D. Riley is a 1971 graduate of Indiana University, School of Optometry. He is an Assistant Professor of Optometry and his main interest has been to improve the quality of Optometric education here at Indiana University. He was the Director of the Atwater Eye Clinic from 1984 to 1990. He is the Co-Director of the Third Year Optometry Clinical Program and Chairperson of the Optometry Admissions Committee. He presently teaches Diagnostic Procedures I, II, III and serves as a clinical consultant. He maintains a World Wide Web (WWW) site on the internet titled Dr. H. D. Riley's Diagnostics Procedures. The site contains all his lecture notes and slide presentations which allows easy access by students and Optometrist around the world. Dr. Riley has received numerous teaching awards presented by the Indiana University Optometry Student Association. His most recent teaching recognition was the Teaching Excellence Recognition Award presented by Indiana University and the School of Optometry . This award was established by the Indiana University, Board of Trustees in 1997 to recognize and reward teaching excellence.
