and Dave Evans!

In conclusion, our aim these past 10 years has been to lay a solid foundation for the clincial application of the sampling theory of visual resolution. It is my belief that a technique for non-invasively estimating the functional sampling density of neurons in the living retina is feasible and would be a valuable clinical tool. We hope that our clinical colleagues will take these ideas and develop them into useful procedures for patient care.
