  "if successful, VSIA will have served as the crucible that produced the biggest advancement in the specification of the aberrations of the human eye in the twentieth century."

  This is no small task, but with your help I think it can be achieved before the 20th century expires. If we can do this, then the project will dove-tail nicely with another OSA-sponsored project, which is to publish a Handbook of Visual Optics.
