Julie K. Torbit, OD
Clinical Assistant Professor of Optometry

OD 1993 (Indiana University)

Dr. Julie Torbit is a 1993 graduate of the IU School of Optometry. She completed a one-year residency in hospital-based optometry at the FDR VA Hospital in Montrose, New York. She served for five years as an assistant professor in the Ocular Disease Department at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. While there she also taught several courses related to the diagnosis and management of ocular pathology. Currently, Dr. Torbit is a clinical consultant at the school's Indianapolis Eye Care Center and is also in private practice part-time. She has given multiple continuing education lectures in both Indiana and Tennessee on various ocular therapeutic topics.
