Additional Information
The objective of the residency is to enhance the hands-on experience and knowledge in the diagnosis and management of ocular diseases. Special emphasis is placed on glaucoma, retinal diseases, and acute anterior segment conditions. The resident will be expected to see patients at the Indiana University School of Optometry Ocular Disease Service, the Department of Ophthalmology Retinal Service, and the IU Health Center. Shorter rotations in neurophthalmology, oculoplastics, and refractive surgery are arranged. The resident is also expected to participate in the school's on-call service, case seminars, literature review, and complete a publishable paper or present a poster at an optometric meeting.
