A Tour of the IU School of Optometry Patient Care Facilities
The IU School of Optometry has five clinics to provide full-service vision care to the people of Indiana and elsewhere while training future eye care professionals.
Atwater Eye Care Center
The Atwater Eye Care Center (AECC) is housed on the second floor of the School of Optometry at 800 East Atwater Avenue on the south side of the Indiana University campus in Bloomington. The Optometry Building is a five-story limestone building which also contains classrooms, research labs, and offices. Patients may park behind the building and in the lot across Atwater Avenue from the school.

Just off the reception area is the eyewear center with its large selection of frames. The knowledgeable staff is trained to assist patients in getting the spectacles that are best for them. They work with the latest technology--such as a computerized video system that allows patients to view various frames on pictures of themselves and equipment to send frame and spectacle information electronically to the ophthalmic laboratories.
