The photographs and descriptions in this web site were developed by Dr. Mark Braun and Dr. Carolyn Begley to assist students enrolled in the IU School of Optometry course V543 General Pathology. The pictures were taken from the slides the students are required to study. Each case is unique and no single example is likely to include all facets of a disease or pathological process. Still, you can be assured if the salient features of a disease were photographed using material from the student slide set, then the condition in question is adequately represented in the study materials. This web site with its companion CD are intended to be used in conjunction with the laboratory manual.
